Another great week for Parker

This week we had some new visitors. Parker got to meet his cousins the Fords and got to meet his new best friend Emma Young.

Debra, Hailey, Hunter and Hilary all came by this week to hold Parker and spend time with him. He seemed to really like them and I'm sure he can't wait to spend more time with them in the future.

On Saturday night Parker went to his first party at the Young's house. There he got to meet to me tons of new friends but the most important was Emma. Emma is 4 months old and will some day be Parker's best friend.

Visiting with family and friends

Parker has spent time with a lot of his family and friends. They have come to the hospital and to the house to hold him and get to know him. These are just some of the pictures of people that have visited him in the last 4 weeks.

Almost 1 Month Old

I can't believe that it has been almost 1 month since Parker came into our lives. It seems like it was just yesterday that Joe and I were on our way to the hospital to be induced. We have had such a great 4 weeks and feel very fortunate that Parker has been as good as he has been. He is starting to sleep better at night, giving us 4-5 hours of sleep at a time which is great! Parker now weighs 8 lbs. 9 oz. and is growing by the minute. He has spent his weeks sleeping, eating and spending time with family and friends. He has been out on the town a lot and seems to be ok with the car seat and riding in the car. He has had a few visitors as well and got to meet his great-grandmother just last week. He spends his days in his bouncy seat or sitting up in his boppy seat. He also enjoys tummy time on the floor and playing with toys on his playmat.

Fourth of July

The Fourth of July was Parker's first holiday. He had a great time spending time with family and watching the fireworks in his neighborhood. He had a great Fourth of July outfit that his grandma Connie got him and he got to spend his first afternoon at Tuesday's house.

First For Everything

Parker is growing up to be a great little baby. He is sleeping good and gives his mom and dad 3-4 hours of sleep at one time. He is eating good and pooping good...which is of course what he does! He went to his first doctors appointment on Wendsday and everything went great. He now weighs 6lbs. 11 ounces which means that he has gained about 11 ounces since last Friday. The doctor was really pleased and told us because things are going so well we won't have to go back until his 6 week check up.

Parker did take his first trips out this week to run to a few places in town and visit with some friends. He seems to like the car seat and sleeps really well in the car as well.
