Family Shower in French Lick

The weekend of May 17th my Aunt Susie and cousin Tami put a shower together for me at French Lick. My whole family and tons of friends came up or down for the event. We had all of the guys there as well and they spent the afternoon in the bar while we were at the shower. I got tons of great gifts that really helped me fill the babies room up! We all had a great time walking around, sight seeing and gambling late into the night.

31 Week Appointment

I had another appointment this morning with Dr. Basinski. My BP was good today although it was up a bit yesterday. She said that everything looks good at this point. They did another scan and the heartbeat was at 149 which is just perfect. He had his arms and legs in front of his face the whole time so she couldn't get any good shots of him. He's shy I guess. Dr. B said from now on when I come in I will be hooked up to the monitor and have his heartbeat monitored for atleast 30 minutes every time. That way they can watch for any changes or things like that. I have another appointment for next Wednesday to keep a close eye on everything. Everyone seems very positive that everything is going great and we are in the home stretch now. These pictures are hard to see but she put labels on them so you can atleast guess at what you are seeing.

31 Weeks and counting!

Well I have made it to 31 weeks. From today I have 6 weeks and 1 day left until my induction. Things are moving along well and I have my first shower this weekend in French Lick Indiana with my family and some of my friends. I can't wait to open presents and start filling up his room.

For those of you that were wondering we have picked out a name. BUT we're not telling you! We are keeping it a secret. Everyone already knows that it is a boy so we have to keep something a surprise. Anyway, if we wait till he is born no one will talk about how they used to have a dog named that or there was someone in high school they hated named that name. When we name him everyone will have to love it whether you do or don't! :)

I have my next appointmetn on Wednesday and as far as I know I will get another ultrasound done to check the weight. I will update the blog later in the week with any new pictures that I get from that appointment.

29 Week Appointment

We went to the doctor on Thursday for a regular check up. Everything went great! My blood pressure was really good which made my doctor happy, the baby seems to be progressing perfectly and my belly was just the right size. I will still have to keep going often to see the doctor because my blood pressure was high that one time but as long as it stays where it is at this point there is no reason for concern.

While at the doctor she told us that she had her calendar for June and wanted to know if June 25th sounded like a good birthday! Joe and I agreed that it did so we were put on the schedule to have this baby on June 25th! I will go in at 6p on June 24th, take oral medication and walk as much as I can for the night. If I am not in active labor by 5a they will begin to give me patosin (I have no clue how to spell that). Then Dr. Basinski will come in at 7:30a or 8a to break my water. She said that most babies come between 2p and 5p. Of course some come sooner and some take longer. We are so excited to know the date and know I can start a realy countdown to the end.

The room is starting to fill up for the baby. My cheerleaders had a surprise baby shower for me last night and I got all kinds of new stuff from my registry which made me really happy! We have two more showers which I am really looking forward too.

These pictures are what I look like right now at 29 weeks. My feet and ankles are starting to swell a little more but it really depends on what type of shoes I wear during the day.
